GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: The Director of Sales will oversee the Sales Team and Mohawk’s Distributor Network to help develop and execute our strategy to achieve monthly, quarterly and annual goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Develop and execute a strategy that achieves our 5-year sales targets, inclusive of Mohawk brand products as well as our partner products in the government sector

- Create and implement tools to track effectiveness of sales and distributor partners, including but not limited to sales segment performance, pipeline tracking, etc.

- Develops and implements Scorecards and KPIs for both Mohawk and distributor sales teams

- Negotiate and close deals with national accounts or other key leads as assigned

- Assist internal/external teams with developing and maintaining relationships

- Develop a sales department meeting cadence (both internal/external) and facilitate and execute meetings

- Owns performance management for sales team and distributor network

- Leverage contract and distributor targets to manage relationships and potentially take action if distributor is not performing to expectations

- Coordinates sales team travel and reviews and approves expense reports

- Supports our Customer Experience efforts and helps increase positive brand awareness and customer satisfaction

- Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts

- Barrier busts departmental problems; i.e. resolves customer complaints, staffing problems, and other issues that may interfere with efficient sales operations

- Acts as company representative at trade shows

- Collaborates with COO to identify and recruit new partner distributors or installation partners

- Owns training program for internal and distributor sales teams

- Partners with engineering and leadership to develop new products and services

- Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Bachelor’s degree plus ten years sales experience with five years’ experience in a sales leadership role.

QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, and SKILLS:

Must have a desire to develop and grow both existing and new customer accounts. Must be flexible and willing to learn new sales and research techniques, as well as adapt to existing best practices. Must be detail oriented and highly organized. Must have exceptional communication skills and interact with customers via phone, email and in-person. Must be driven and goal oriented and willing to take on new challenges and achieve goals. Must be able to demonstrate meeting goals and expectations. Must be able to read, write, and speak English language and be understood. Must be able to leverage and learn effective written e-mail techniques and strategies to facilitate sales. Must be computer savvy including capability to learn and execute on-line research techniques, proficient in Microsoft (Excel, Word, and Outlook) and related software applications. Good knowledge of Mohawk’s product line are essential to be successful. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES: This position manages the Sales department and is responsible for the performance management within that department and external partners.
